Behind the “LICK” A Sneak Peak into our LICK Photoshoot

LICK Photoshoot

We recently joined creative forces with internationally recognized animal photographer Ty Foster (who specializes in dogs) and Shark Pig Productions for a pop-up photoshoot at Lake Hollywood Park. We invited dog owners and their precious pups to sit for their very own dog portrait in the spirit of our newly released LICK book. Check out all the slobbery and undeniably silly canines in mid-lick!

A day at the quintessential Los Angeles spot turned out to be a huge success as we captured 57 dogs in mid-lick from sunrise to sunset—it’s amazing what can happen with a jar of peanut butter!

Trip Fontaine LICK Photoshoot
Trip Fontaine was so preoccupied with the peanut butter, he almost “tripped” off the bench!

And if that wasn’t enough, our precious pooches were treated to their very own craft services table. Got to keep the talent happy, right?

Dog Craft Service
Our cuddly canines were treated to doggy biscuits, cookies, cupcakes, and donuts from local Venice doggy hot spot, The Dog Bakery (http://www.thedogbakery.com).

We couldn’t have cast the photoshoot with better talent if we wanted to! The wide range of dog breeds made it all the more fun: from Pugs to Golden Retrievers, Yorkshire Terriers to German Shepherds, Pitbulls to Labradors, and Beagles to Golden Doodles (and much more), each dog really let their personality shine through. Check out some of the four-legged stars below.
